Information For Authors

Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Women’s Sports Medicine uses a double-blind peer-review process. All manuscripts are first screened for relevance and adherence to ethical standards, followed by review by at least two independent experts in the field. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit and are not influenced by funding sources or author identity.

Authorship and Contributions

Authorship should be determined according to ICMJE criteria. All authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, analysis, or interpretation of data, and must approve the final version of the manuscript. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. Author contributions are disclosed in each publication.

Conflicts of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential financial or personal conflicts of interest. Disclosures are reviewed by the editorial team prior to publication and published alongside the article when relevant.

Research Ethics

The journal follows COPE and ICMJE guidelines on research integrity. All studies involving human or animal subjects must include a statement of institutional review board or ethics committee approval and informed consent, as applicable. Misconduct, plagiarism, or data fabrication are investigated according to COPE procedures.

Data Availability and Sharing

Authors are encouraged to make data supporting their findings available through public repositories or as supplementary materials. Data availability statements are included in all research articles, and datasets are shared when ethically and legally permissible.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal maintains a transparent policy for post-publication updates. Errors that affect interpretation are corrected through formal correction notices, and articles found to be unreliable are retracted following COPE retraction guidelines.
